Don’t have the languages you want on your HTC One?

I can start by directly saying that some languages you will NOT find, but most LTR (left to right) using roman letters will work. RTL (right to left) and languages that uses non-roman letters are at times a bit trickier.

How to sync music to HTC One with Windows Media Player over MTP

This is actually the easiest way to get music to your One X/X+/One/One Mini/One Max, since they all uses MTP which is a part of the media player framework.

This works on ALL Android devices that uses MTP for usb connection.

EDIT:  this of course works on the new One M8 as well.

Setting wallpaper for a Sense 5 phone from computer

One of the new cool things that arrived with 4.2 (on One) and now on One X/X+ is the ability to set wallpaper on your phone from your computer (internet connected computer as it’s a website involved. This is one of the really cool stuff in the newer sense 5.

Disabling Blinkfeed on One X/X+ using 4.2.2/Sense 5

This will NOT work on HTC One, but just on One X/X+ or other phones that didn’t start life with Sense 5.

Go to Settings > Personalize > Home screen style, where you select the home screen style you want. Traditional or Blinkfeed, I have blinkfeed on myself since that is where I think that sense 5 shines. If you use it: you will start to love it.

Mini-tip for One (and One X/X+ and such): Turn Animations Off

To simply turn off animations between certain screens and such, to make things a bit more “straight on”. I always do this myself.

Setting Grid Size for Sense 5 app launcher

As on recent HTC phones.

When you’re on start of the app launcher, pull down with your finger once to reveal a menu type thing where you can select how to view and such. And to the right you have Menu where you’ll find Grid Size, simply select 4 x 5 to display a total number of 16 apps (it uses one row for other things).
