What HTC have said about the Android Lollipop update

This is just a repetition of what they said when Android L was announced.

We are committed to updating our flagship HTC One family as fast as possible as part of our HTC Advantage program. We will begin rolling out updates to the HTC One (M8) and HTC One (M7) worldwide within 90 days of receiving final software from Google, followed shortly thereafter by other One family members and select devices.

That’s what’s known about it right now, will of course post more the second I know something else/more.

I’m still did not get the new 4.4.4 update and my HTC one m8 is Unlocked Europe version HTC_J15, Do you thing that HTC will do the L version in 3 months as they announced?

    • For starters: you do not got European version since J15 means “HTC-GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council)”. And secondly: update haven’t really started even in Europe, so far just a few phones up in the Nordics (Sweden etc). But, first it tends to come to Europe. Arabic part of the world is sometimes a bit slow, due to various reasons (I think security etc)

See attached picture, CPU-Z shows that my htc one m8 is European version, so i dont know

        • the model itself is “Europe”, but your CID is for “HTC-GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council)” which is all that matters when it comes to updates, since updates goes out per CID. Being where it is: it tends to get it after it started in main parts of EU (like UK, France etc) and that haven’t happened yet…
