The update started to recently roll-out here in Europe, and will reach most unlocked devices inside a few weeks or so. Version number on my update is 2.18.401.2
That is the largest new thing in this update, together with android 4.2.2 it makes for a VERY good update.
Available under Settings > Personalize > Home screen style
You can also set it to Tradtional which is the regular 7 screens but no Blinkfeed.
Two finger swipe on notification bar
Brings you directly to quick settings
Added wallpaper style
Computer photos, which lets you connect to start.htc.com/wallpaper and with a code connect to your phone and set wallpaper directly to your phone from your computer. You can upload a photo directly to the phone with the page. Pretty cool function.
New lock screen style: Widget
Simply use select widgets on a lock screen, includes Google Now and such google adapted lock screen widgets. Not just any widget.
Battery level in % in status bar
Settings > Power, does what it sounds. Again: Finally!
Quick settings panel
12 default settings from new flip button on upper part of notification bar, gives you 12 fixed quick settings. Accessible directly from 2-finger swip on notification bar.
Sense 5 camera
Lacks Zoe though (3 sec video clip + pics), but it seems quicker/better. Swipe from side to side to change between front and rear camera.
AE/AF lock feature in Camera
Lock exposure/Focus on viewfinder screen by longpressing where you want AE/AF lock.
A kind of screensaver you can set to activate when you charge your phone and such.
Settings > Display , gestures & buttons
Updated music player
This is more or less straight from One and Sense 5
Screen will never sleep during charging. Now you find this under Settings > Display & Gestures.
You now have Zoe Highlight, this is seen when you set Gallery to Event. Then an Highlight is automatically created from the photos in each event.
Under Settings are now hidden, you enable it by going to Settings > About > Software version > More.. where you touch Build number 7 times. Which will give you a count down, and then say “you’re now a developer”. And Developer Options are back!
This I think are the major new things in it this update. If you find something not on this list, please let me know!
